The History DSL Northwest

DSL Northwest was built on a legacy of service, innovation, and long-term partnership within the commercial foodservice industry. Co-founded in 2006 by Mike Ross and Mark Taylor in conjunction with DSL Incorporated of Canada, our company was established to serve the growing demand for premium commercial kitchen equipment and responsive service support throughout the Northwestern United States.

Today, DSL Northwest proudly supports restaurants, convenience stores, hospitality groups, grocery retailers, institutional kitchens, and national foodservice brands throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Alaska with commercial kitchen equipment, OEM parts, preventative maintenance, and factory-trained service.

Built on More Than a Century of Foodservice Experience

Our roots trace back to DSL Incorporated (DSL Inc.), originally founded in Alberta, Canada in 1916 as Alberta Dairy Supplies Limited. Established by engineer Robert Morris, the company began by supplying essential dairy equipment to Western Canada’s growing agricultural industry.

The Launch of DSL Northwest

In 2006, Mike Ross and Mark Taylor co-founded DSL Northwest in partnership with DSL Inc. to support growing demand for commercial kitchen equipment and service throughout the Northwestern United States.

The partnership with DSL Inc. provided the foundation needed to ensure continuity for existing customers while allowing DSL Northwest to rapidly establish itself across the region. Over time, all aspects of the company transitioned fully to the United States, creating a dedicated Northwest-based operation focused on serving regional foodservice operators.
