Meet Our Key Team Members
Owner and President
Mike is one of DSL Northwest’s co-founders and currently serves as President. In addition to his tenure with DSL NW he is the 4th generation in his family in the foodservice business and has over 20 years’ experience helping businesses optimize their menus. Mike is very passionate about food and at one point was excepted into the Culinary Institute of America but decided he would rather help people in the business than be in it himself. In addition to his management responsibilities, Mike maintains an active role with chain account sales, unique product development, and developing key strategic alliances in the industry.
Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Jim Neil is a Principal with DSL Northwest and oversees all equipment sales. Jim is a 24-year veteran to the foodservice industry, having spent the majority of his career as the President and co-owner of JG Neil and Company, a leading foodservice agency in the Pacific Northwest. Jim has been helping independent restaurant operators and chain accounts in the Pacific Northwest develop and deliver creative menu options as well as source the finest ingredients for their operations. When not working with customers, Jim can be found on the soccer, football or lacrosse fields as a coach or cheering parent.
Steve Rice is Chairman of DSL, one of the oldest and most recognizable names in the food service equipment industry. He has over 39 years in the industry and prides himself on his results-oriented management style, strategic partnerships, and effective alignment with and support of key business initiatives. Steve thrives on navigating high-performing teams through changing business strategies with clear focus on the customer. Co-Founder and Vice President
Mark is a co-Founder and Vice President of DSL NW with 39 years of experience working in the food service equipment industry. Marks years of industry experience has helped hundreds of independent restaurant operators expand their menu offerings and improved their operational efficiencies and product quality. Whether a single restaurant operator or a 100+ location national account, Mark can and will utilize his experience and expertise to help you grow your business.
Service Manager, Pacific Northwest
Gerry is an Army Veteran who spent 5 years in Iraq, where he was responsible for the field service and maintenance of power generators on US military bases. Additionally, he has over 6 years of service manager experience working with technicians, customers and management, outside of the Army. His strength is troubleshooting problems to get to the root of the issue and working with the customer and staff to find a solution. Recreationally, Gerry enjoys golf, hiking, and bike riding. He holds a graduate degree from Central Washington University.
Sheila Martin is the Controller for DSL Northwest, Inc. and oversees all the accounting and administrative functions of the company. Sheila has a BS in accounting and over 25 years of accounting and administrative experience. Sheila and her team support the customers, operations and sales department of DSL Northwest, Inc. Her understanding of all the processes of the company allows her to see all sides of the business and the customer’s needs in order to provide the best support possible.
Willie Trujillo served as Parts Manager before taking the role of Operations Manager for DSL Northwest, Inc. He has 20 years of experience with the Taylor distributor and manages parts and service dispatch. Willie and his team strive to provide the very best service to the customers by ensuring that they are provided with the most outstanding parts and service experience in the industry.
